Casambi utilizes Bluetooth Low Energy technology to create a wireless mesh network in which individual devices communicate with one another. In this system, every luminaire or module receives and forwards signals, stores system logic, and functions independently of any central unit. As a result, there is no need for a central controller, making the system inherently reliable. At the same time, the system can be expanded with additional technologies according to the specific needs of the project.
Casambi is not just about turning lights on and off, as the system enables advanced lighting control tailored to the needs of both the user and the building's operations. You can utilize the creation of lighting scenes for various situations, manage light intensity via dimming, control RGB and color changes, or manage white color temperature (CCT / Tunable White). Furthermore, the system handles automatic switching based on time through schedules, control based on presence and daylight, wireless as well as conventional control via push-buttons or an app, remote access and system management, and integration with third-party systems such as BMS, KNX, Loxone, Helvar, or DMX. The result is lighting that adapts to the space and its users – not the other way around.
